Athletets enrolled in our recreation program will have the chance to participate in an annual rec meet each Spring!
It is an opportunity for all gymnasts enrolled in the Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Preteam courses to participate in a gymnastics competition. Gymnasts will demonstrate a routine on all 4 competitive events (Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor) that they learn during the session. The routines will be judged by a judge (Hub City Staff) on each event, and receive a score for their performance. The athletes will receive ribbons as well as an all-around medal or trophy for their performance. This is a very low-stress event, and there will be current members of the Hub City Gymnastics Team available on each event to assist the athletes should they forget the routine or need assistance on any competition skills. Athletes will be introduced to the routines during the session proceeding the event, however many will not have them completely memorized, which is perfectly ok. We strive to balance the opportunity to learn routines with the continued opportunity to progress on other skills throughout the session.
